Welcome to I Do Details Amanda and Michael!!

I am so excited to welcome Amanda and Michael to the I Do Details family! Amanda and Michael met through Lindsay and Brandon (yay for “I Do Details” couples!) and started dating in the summer of 2008.
This past March, Amanda was given a little “to-do” list on a Friday afternoon, which Michael claimed was for her birthday. She was instructed to follow directions on the letter, stick to the timeline, and under no circumstances return home. At 3:00 she left work to head to the mall, where she was to choose a cocktail dress (he had Lindsay go earlier in the week to pick out 3 dresses for her, and she got to pick one of them to wear that evening) and was treated to a mani/pedi. After getting her nails done, she was told that she was allowed to come back home, and found a trail of rose petals leading to the door, where Amanda found Michael in a suit and tie standing amidst a million rose petals and candles. It was AWESOME!!!
After she said yes, the first thing she wanted to do was take a picture of the scene when he informed her that they were being filmed!!! He had gotten a video camera to document the purchase of the ring, the ‘talk’ with my father, and the proposal! SO PRECIOUS! Amanda’s parents live less than 10 minutes from them so Michael set up a town car, and they headed over to tell her mother in person. Then they had dinner downtown just the two of them. The entire evening was PERFECT- the best night of her life!!!! I mean what an amazing proposal!!!
Amanda and Michael are most excited about sharing the rest of their lives together, and having unconditional love and commitment to each other. They are really looking forward to becoming “The Cardani’s” and starting their own family.
I am so excited for their big day in April at The Ritz Carlton Uptown!

Wish Upon A Wedding~ The Carolinas Blissful Wishes Ball

On Friday night I was able to attend a wonderful event, The Carolinas Blissful Wishes Ball for a wonderful organization called Wish Upon a Wedding! It was held at The Ritz Carlton where we had a delicious meal and tons of fun! There were lots of wonderful people from the industry there and it was great to catch up with them as well as meet some new people. The president of Wish Upon a Wedding Sasha Souza flew in to speak at the event and the stories of wishes that have already been granted really touched the heart. Some of my favorite parts of the evening were the silent auction, the photo booth from Shutterbooth which was a blast, and dancing the night away with two great bands, The Fabulous Kays and The Right to Party Band! Many thanks to the Wish Upon a Wedding team and all of the fabulous vendors that made this night so special!

Lunch at BLT Steak!

I had the privilege today of meeting some awesome women and networking over lunch at BLT Steak at The Ritz Carlton. Kim, their catering sales manager organized this amazing lunch and it was a perfect opportunity for all of us to meet and share stories! I was able to chat with Sarah Bradley from Blue Feather Media, Rebecca Stoddard from Shade of Green Events, Erica Stawick from Green Shoes Weddings and Events, Sabrina Delio and Kim Bachelder from The Ritz Carlton, CarrieAnn Drinnen from Serendipity Events, Tonya Braddock From BLUSH Wedding and Events, and Christine. It was so nice to finally meet and catch up with everyone and hopefully we can do it again soon!

The Ritz Carlton

Today I went to the Ritz Carlton in uptown Charlotte and I had the privilege of meeting with Kimberly. The Ritz Carlton opened on October 1, 2009 and it is absolutely beautiful inside! From the moment you arrive, the staff is pleasant and extremely helpful. Kimberly gave me a tour of the hotel and showed me the space that they have for their events. There are a lot of different space options at the Ritz , that are so unique. The Urban Garden is their newest space and it is a glass-enclosed atrium that is breathtaking with fabulous views of the city! The Ritz Carlton offers a lot of amenities with fabulous restaurants, a spa, wellness center, and an aqua lounge swimming pool that is amazing! They specialize is finding a menu and event space that will work perfectly for you! If you haven’t been there yet, be sure to check out the Ritz Carlton!
